This coffee was grown between 1500 and 2000 meters in DR Congo. It is grown by the SOPACDI Co-Op in the Lake Kivu region. This coffee is a great example of the rebound that DR Congo has had on their coffee production since suffering from their Civil War that ended in 2003. It highlights the great characteristics that this African coffee can show! Bright fruits and balanced bitter flavors are prominent in this coffee. We get lots of lighter grape with a tartness from lemonade (sometimes more like lime) with a great compliment of toffee and cocoa nibs.
